The image was taken at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. I was fortunate to be invited to photograph the event, which featured two live bands performing on the night. Being invited allowed me access to the front of the venue, positioning me close to the stage.
To avoid drawing attention from the performers or distracting other audience members, I chose to hand‑hold my camera fitted with a 35mm lens rather than using more conspicuous equipment.
I spent time observing the musicians to understand how they moved and positioned themselves on stage. My aim was to capture an image of the bass player with the drummer performing behind them, so I positioned myself to the left side of the stage. Once the moment aligned, I moved into the optimal spot and took the shot.

This photograph was taken in September 2025 during an afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River. A small group of Little Bee-eaters had gathered along the riverbank, perching on low branches in the warm late-afternoon sun. With the light coming over my left shoulder, it created the perfect conditions to capture this brief moment as one bird passed its catch to the other.

This is most favourite action shot with the Rodeo bull, nothing like sitting on the ground and get full of dust. I like to create a clean shot, by editing my own sky photo and adding dust that I cloned and blur at the back of the bull.
