Editing challenge

Each month a member supplies one photograph and everyone edits their own version of it.
The edits are shown here, newest month first.
They do not appear on portfolio pages because the original belongs to the photographer who supplied it.

How to enter

  • One RAW image is provided each month by the previous winner.
  • Edit that image and upload your entry in PhotoVault under the Editing Challenge category.

Rules

  • Everyone works from the same RAW file – the only difference is what you do with it.
  • Keep to the deadline for the month.
  • Follow the usual submission guidelines for size and file name.

Judging

  • A monthly judge scores the entries and picks the winning edit.
  • Scores here are not for advancement – they do not count towards your star rating.
  • Members may also vote for the edits they like best.
  • The photographer who supplied the original may not win that month.

Rights and sharing

  • The original photograph stays the property of the photographer. Only your edit is yours.
  • Edited images may be shared on social media for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • When you share one, credit the original photographer and the editing challenge.
  • The image may not be sold or licensed, entered in other competitions, or used commercially.
